Catching up….

So much has happened since January 1, 2013 but let me try to condense this to highlight a few.

January was just busy for me and it has yet to slow down. I went to Miami twice, New Orleans during the Super Bowl week (had dinner with San Francisco 49s, well something like that, big dudes kept bumping my chair, but we took a picture after I straighten them out, lol) and out the country for five days to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. So far, other than going home to Jamaica or even performing with the Artist Prince in the Superbowl held in Miami a few years ago, Santo Domingo has been the best trip of my life! That’s to say the least, Lol. Also in January, to promote for the new album PreGame, we released three singles, Pop That Jazz, Come Go With Me (Reprise) and In My Cadillac – Reloaded which was also an official video release on YouTube. Check it out!

February 1, 2013 we released the new album, PreGame! Get your copy now if you have yet to do so… PreGame is an eight song album; however, it is approximately forty-five minutes worth of music with new studio recorded solo songs from yours truly and three reprised songs recorded by the PALACE BAND. Get your copy and/or download PreGame ASAP!

We had a good time on Superbowl Sunday especially since my preseason prediction came true that San Francisco would play the Baltimore Ravens for the Super Bowl. Of course I wanted the Ravens to win because of my fraternity brother Ray Lewis and several other players on Baltimore team. Gotta love and support the bruhz, the Ques of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Amongst other gigs we did in the month of February, our highlighted performance was the Quincy Mardi Gras Festival. We had a great time entertaining the people New Orleans style! You can view our performance on our video page and/or directly on YouTube.

In March, we had a good time performing at the Gadsden Leadership & Law Academy Gala! However, I had my heart and mind set on March 16-17, the 8th Annual Jazz in the Gardens Festival, which is one of my performance goals. We weren’t selected this year but soon and very soon our time will come! In fact, I believe God is opening doors and providing opportunities of gigs that is preparing us for such gigs. Many of you know the PALACE BAND for our jazzy funk, R&B and soul sounds. We are currently preparing a show for you that will be filled with pure entertainment and music that you will dance to. So stay tuned and be ready to “shake what yo Mama gave ya!”

Peace, from yours truly, Phillip Solomon Stewart.
